
The singer and composer from Minas Gerais, Zé Renato, began his career presenting shows in music festivals in the decades of the 60s and 70s. At the end of the 70s, he achieved great recognition as a member of the group Boca Livre, the vocal group in which Cláudio Nucci, David Tygel and Maurício Maestro also participated.
In 1982 he released his first solo record, Fonte de Vida. In the 80s he also became a member of the band Zil. In the 90s, his career as a soloist was consolidated and he became one of the most important interpreters of Brazilian music. Zé Renato has already released more than 10 CDs and had his compositions interpreted by Nana Caymmi, Leila Pinheiro, Zizi Possi and Lulu Santos, among others.
In 2000, he participated in Sinfonia do Rio de Janeiro de Săo Sebastiăo (Biscoito Fino), with Francis and Olivia Hime, Lenine, Sergio Santos and Leila Pinheiro. In 2002, he recorded the CD Memorial through Biscoito Fino together with Wagner Tiso. The release of Zé Renato´s first solo album with Biscoito Fino, Minha Praia, occured in october 2003. |
