
Playing the flute, Andrea Ernest Dias learning music at home, with her mother Odette Ernest Dias. Graduated at the Universidade de Brasilia and completed a post-graduation course at UFRJ, she also studied at Paris ans Siena, with names such as Pierre-Yves Artaud and Aurele Nicollet.
She performed all over Brasil and many other countries as a solo artist and as part of other groups. In 1988 and 1991, joined Roberto Gnattalli`s Orquestra de Musica Brasileira, and played the Free Jazz Festival.
Andrea played and recorded with many important artists of Brazilian popular music. Some of them were Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Djavan, Pife Muderno, and Zeca Pagodinho.
